About us

We are three Lancastrians with roots laid deep in Lancashire. Our children and grandchildren brought to our attention their concern for the future. After being educated in school on the climate crisis and the effects of their carbon footprint, they began to discuss this at home.

Our conversation with our respective children/grandchildren has evolved into action. We also began to research initiatives ourselves. We were suprised to  discover that a large number of tree planting initiatives that are run by UK companies are focused on planting trees abroad. They offset the carbon footprint of British companies by acquiring cheap land and labour on the other side of the world. Whilst we recognise a need for a global effort, it is clear to us that we should be investing time and resources on our own doorstep, in the heart of the UK.
